Beatrix and Rohan’s Wedding Album Design – another unique and one of a kind album design by Darrell Fraser. Some more of their wedding photos can be viewed on their wedding page here.
The printed final products included one 30×30 personalised hard cover album, two 20 x 20 brag books, a personalised box for the album and a personalised double DVD holder with two imprinted DVDs.
The album design for Tish and Michiel’s Wedding. I do all my wedding album designs in Adobe InDesign CS5.5 and then do a print PDF. This gives me the freedom to use any printer for the album printing.
The Wedding Guest Book was designed after the e-session. The e-session took place at the Moreleta Park Nature Reserve, and was loads of fun. Thank you guys for making this shoot fun and relaxed!

Tuesday 20 December 2011 – Kuthaba Lodge – 2nd shooter for the day was Nadia Joubert -thanks Nadia you are a star!
Set in the majestic Waterberg Mountains with unspoilt landscapes, Malaria free and within close proximity to Gauteng, the lodge presents itself as a wildly African setting for any occasion. Built using unique architecture that emphasises the splendour of nature, a harmonious blend of rich textures and warm colours crafted by hand seamlessly melds the ruggedness of a spectaclular bushveld setting with comfort. Crossing mountain streams to open savanah plains teaming with wildlife, returning by game-viewer to a starlit riversand boma lit by a crackling bonfire, accompanied by the evening chorus.
Michiel & Tish Lombard’s fairytale story:
Wedding Date: Tuesday 20 December
Michiel and I met at a Karaoke bar beginning of 2008 … it was love at first song!!
The first night I saw him I told my friend that’s the man I am going to marry one day.
At first we were just very good friends, until one weekend when we all decided to go camping in winter next to a dam … and our first kiss.
We’ve been together for 4 years and married nearly 5 months.
I’ve known Darrell Fraser for years, I’ve been her make-up artist for all her studio shoots and weddings. She’s the best photographer ever. We did our pre-wedding shoot with Darrell which was absolutely amazing and the photos were incredible. Darrell designed our Wedding Guest Book using our pre-wedding photos, which was so funky!
The wedding was exactly what we ever wished for … a true fairytail.
Darrell joined us at Kuthaba Lodge a day before the wedding with Nadia, her second shooter, scouting the area to make sure we will have the best photos for our wedding the next day. Darrell’s way of capturing those special moments are so relaxed and tons of fun. She was a big part of our wedding from beginning to end. Never once was it necessary for me to ask her for anything or tell her what to do, as she is totally confident in her abilities as a wedding photographer, delivering photos and album designs of outstanding quality! Our friends and family who saw our photos all commended Darrell on how incredibly talented she is in what she’s doing, she’s a great blessing in our lives.
My Wedding Dress: I saw my wedding dress on the internet and imported it fro overseas. Someone helped me to put the final touches and detail to the dress before the wedding (The Wedding Wardrobe)
Flowers and extras: Anneke – privately owned business in Modimole
Michiel’s suit: Designer Gerald of Pretoria – their prices are amazing
Hair Stylist: Amore de Villiers
Honeymoon: Zanzibar ( WOW )
My loyal second shooter – Nadia Joubert
Venue: Avianto
Some of these photos were taken with an Infrared Camera. It was great experimenting with it, the photos speak for itself.
My dearest sister Karen got married to Weyer, celebrating this very special day at Avianto. With my loyal and great friend by my side again, Babsie Wessels, we captured my sister’s whole event. We took an old Canon 350D and had it converted to Infrared. The effect … stunning photos with a purple effect, as can be seen with the first photo for example.
Thanks to my dear friend, Babsie Wessels, for giving me the opportunity to shoot this wedding with her. Fanie & Jana, you are truely a great couple and it was an absolute joy working with you on your special day. Fanie was very creative in pointing out locations for some very cool shots. Thanks you two … and Babsie.
I had the privilege of photographing Fanie and Jana’s wedding with my great great friend, Babsie Wessels. This was such a special day, filled with joy, laughter, love and lots of celebrities!
For those who don’t know who Fanie is (which I seriously doubt) - he was a cricketer who played 18 Tests and 83 One Day Internationals for South Africa as a right arm fast-medium bowler and right hand batsman between 1992 and 1998. He is also currently the presenter on MNet’s popular cricket program called “BVP Krieket geselsprogram”.
De Villiers debuted in first-class cricket in 1985-86 for Northern Transvaal B. He opened the bowling in both innings, taking 5 for 33 in the second. He also played a season for English county teamKent in 1990.
In 1993-94, at the age of 29, he was called up for the Test tour of Australia. He was selected for the first Test in Melbourne but it was at the second Test in Sydney where De Villiers established himself at Test level. With Australia needing just 117 runs to win, De Villiers took 6 for 43, including the final wicket – a return catch from Glenn McGrath - to lead South Africa to a five run victory. De Villiers’ match figures of 10 for 123 saw him named Man of the Match.
Former England captain Tony Greig had said at the start of the final innings that South Africa’s chances were 100-1. At the Man of the Match presentation, De Villiers reminded him of his statement, adding, “You know South Africans; we never give up.”
Love this album – such great work Darrell!!!
